justmeI have fixed Thousands of computers over the years. I have been fixing home and business computers every day at a cheap rate, for many nice people around town for as long as I can remember. I'm 29 and have been working on computers since I was just a kid, professionally I have been working for various computer companies since I was 18. You can reach me at 586.557.6670 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

This posting is specifically for people that are in a 10mile radius of my home. I Live in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Please Note! There is many people that will drive farther, i'm looking to take care of people who live near me.
With less time driving around, I spend more time working, at a cheap price. $25-$75 for repairs. Small issues are cheap to resolve, and once we're on a first name basis, its easy for me to drop by if your having a small problem. Sound good? Click Read More for everything you would want to know! ;)

badDCjackIf you have to constantly wiggle the power cord into your laptop...STOP and call me! Rather your AC adapter has a bad end, or the DC jack which is soldered onto the laptop's motherboard is becoming loose. Not only are you making sure both devices are ruined, you could send irregular voltage to the laptop's motherboard which will lead to a complete failure.

I can solder new DC jacks on motherboards most of the time, but sometimes the board is damaged from prolonged use in this way! In some newer laptops, the DC jack is actually attached via a ribbon cable and just plugs into the motherboard. The laptop itself can still be challenging for some to take apart, try if you want, but please know its very easy to break something while you disassemble it. You can always call me ;)

laptopspillIf you ever spill a drink on your laptop, make Sure to immediately FLIP IT OVER and start shaking it! It's ok to curse during this procedure as it happens all the time. If you start laughing, others around you are unlikely to join in but they may look at you with concern!

Then proceed to pull out battery, there is always a button release, sometimes two. Then lay it down so liquid can drain from keyboard onto table/towel. Doing this may save your entire laptop, minus a $20 laptop keyboard. Trust me, ive seen it all ;)

If you can't handle yourself, buy a $5 "keyboard skin" for your laptop. They are plastic covers that fit perfectly ontop of your keyboard. Ideal for college students that like to spill orange juice (and vodka) into their new laptops during late night (party) study sessions.

deletedfilesIf you realized you accidentally deleted some files, or you reinstalled your operating system and Now realized you didn't backup properly: turn off the computer and call me or another technician. Or if your determined to try yourself, there is a great freeware program called Recuva and its easy enough for me to recommend. Otherwise CloneZilla is more powerful yet requires more computer knowledge.

When files are deleted, only the reference to them from the master boot record index is deleted and eventually new files will overwrite that space. In other words, the book is still in the library despite the index card being thrown out, and when a new book is placed on the shelf the old one will then be tossed out for good.

This is also good to know before selling an old computer, use a Disk Wipe program such as Dariks Boot And Nuke Bootable CD which is totally free, and does a military grade disk wipe over all data on Any hard drive it finds inside of the computer the CD is booted in, no file recovery is possible. If you don't know how to burn a CD image, you may want to consult help to ensure you know what your about to do! Trust me ;)

snailA Computer should as fast as the day you bought it. Its amazing what people will deal with for long periods of time! Note before reading: The Freeware programs I have mentioned were made by computer guys for anyone to use. I have used them for years and they have no junk software included. I highly recommend them!

1. Software Problems: Run Windows DiskCleanup or remove temporary files, i bet you have alot of them. Then Start/Run MSCONFIG click Startup, uncheck additional programs and reboot. virus, corruption, malware, excess startup programs. Solution: Run the Free AVG AntiVirus or the Free for Home Use Avast! AntiVirus scan. Run the Freeware SpyBot for removing Malware (Malicious Software, such as Adware, Spyware, etc.).  Otherwise, backup your data onto a USB drive (Docs, Pics, Favs, Desktop, etc), check twice, then use the DVD's OR hit the Recovery button (such as F11) as soon as the computer turns on and restore it to factory settings, then copy your data back over. Load Windows Updates. Load Antivirus. Copy data back over. Click Read More for entire 4-part article.
